Last week in class we have been learning about bitmap. If you don't know what that is, then here is the official definition. "A representation in which each item corresponds to one or more bits of information, especially the information used to control the display of a computer screen," so this week I have watched a bunch of different videos on how to do different things with the bitmap. The first thing that I learned to do was make cartoon mountains using the lasso tool to create the shape then to use the dodge and burn tool to do shading. The next video was about how to make trees using the same methods. The video that I'm on now is about how to make block that make up the ground. One of my favorite things that I learned about was the warp tool where you can move and shift the picture around.

This week in class has been a lot of fun. Although I wasn't there on Friday I have learned so many new things about and in Photoshop. My favorite tool right now is the quick mask tool, where you use the quick select tool to get as much of the image as you need and then you press q and the parts that are red aren't in the photo. This tool allows you to have a precisely outlined image. There are also two different types of ways that you can use Photoshop and those are destructive and nondestructive. These techniques are used when you are working and want to delete a piece of the work forever then you would use destructive techniques and if you wanted to bring a part of your piece back in the future then you would be using nondestructive.
