In the last two weeks most of my time has been spent between two things, school and Destiny 2 Forsaken. This is how much I love this game, since the release of Destiny 2 in late 2017 after the initial release content was pretty dry. Yes there were expansions but both of them were short and useless to the actual story of the game it was just short side missions to get your light up and that's pretty much it. With the release of Forsaken this gives destiny players a reason to return to the game we all know and love. It's a revenge story after everyone's favorite Exo, Cayde-6 is murdered you hunt down his killers in the new Tangled Shore and revenge his death. After you complete the story there are still things to do, like the crucible, exotic quests, and the Last Wish raid. I do also have some complaints about the game too, once you hit 500 light there are very few ways to level up like raid and obtaining powerful gear which is only on a weekly basis and I think that it should be daily or on a four day rotation. One thing that I have really enjoyed about the game has been its transfer from console to PC. I started playing Destiny 2 when it released on PS4 but when Forsaken came out I finally made the switch to PC and it feels amazing, I get little to no frame rate drops (only when I'm streaming) and the fluidity of the game is clearly superior. Overall I think that Forsaken is definitely a needed addition to the game for both new and returning players.

This last week in class was a lot of fun! This year since I'm in a new class there are a lot of new people that I have gotten to know and share skills with, which is good for me since peer to peer learning is something that is really helpful to me. Mr.B gave us a 3DS Max refresher, where we had to model a plane with trees, a city, igloos, a snowman, and pyramids. This was good to get everyone re-familiarized with all of the tools within 3DS, so for the trees he had us model cylinders and cones then make them green and brown. Then for the pyramids we used the pyramid tool and made one bigger than the other two. For the city we made a couple of rectangle's and set them to the exact location that Mr.B gave us. For the igloos and the snow man I made for spheres, all different sizes and put them to Mr.B's exact coordinates, so then I made a semi-circle and attached it to the biggest circle to make the igloo. After I was done with the initial scene then Mr.B gave us an animation refresher where we had to download another file that included a road and a car that we had to animate going around. But first I had to scale down the car because it was massive when I first opened the file, then after I merged the files together I had to set the scene count to exactly 749 scenes so the animation would be between 20 and 24 seconds. After I had done that I attached the car to the path on the road I placed markers at the start and end of the scene and the played around in the scene frame settings in 3DS to try and make it as long as possible. This exercise was great to refresh my skills in 3DS Max and I think that this was essential to me and the other people in my class to try and get back in the flow of things in Max with modeling and animation.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=pt0unGGzPa0 evermotion.org/tutorials/show/9296/3ds-max-working-with-big-scenes Counter Strike Global Offensive, a first-person shooter made by Hidden Path Entertainment and Valve released in August 2012 is the third significant game in the Counter Strike series. It is a tactical shooter based on objective game play and the game's unique economy system. Game has multiple modes, such as casual, competitive, flying scoutsman, arms race, deathmatch etc, this gives players competitive and casual things to do. CS-GO was one of the few games that has a world-wide esports scene with an event going on all the time. For competitive game play it is 5 versus 5 with players trying to plant a bomb, if the bomb gets diffused the counter terrorists win, if the bomb goes off the terrorists win, or if one team kills all of the other team. After each round players get money based on kills, completing the round, and objectives. Then at the start of the next round players can buy armor and other weapons.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-Strike:_Global_Offensive www.thescoreesports.com/csgo/news This last week in class has been pretty interesting, we had a substitute teacher for two days and I couldn't ask Mr.B any questions about the assignments which was a problem because I had a lot of them. So for the assignment we had to apply the same 6 materials on every side of a cube, but I (being me) thought that we had to apply a different color to 216 polygons on the cube, which would have taken years, but luckily when Mr.B got back he changed the instructions to make it more clear. The rest of the other parts of the assignments were pretty easy, my favorite part of it was chasnging the colors and materials of the spaceship, because I made mine look really cool. The main part of this assignment was working with materials, so to apply materials you select the part, or polygon of what you want to change the color of and apply an ID to it. Then you press the M-key and apply a standard material then you select what you want from there, for example is I wanted a gradient material I would select that and apply it to the standard material's diffuse then change the colors to what you want. After you've done that you right click on the standard material and select apply material to selection, then you have to render and you will see what your object looks like.

This week in class has been all about our group projects. Mr.B introduced our project to us on Monday, and we have to make a public service announcement on a topic of our choice. He also let us pick our groups, so I'm working with some of my best friends, Aidan and Ray. We decided to do a PSA on bullying, because I know how it feels to be bullied and it's something that we thought people should be more aware of. The first thing we did after deciding what to do the PSA on was write a script, this was Aidan's job with input from Ray and I. Ray's job was to create graphics for our opening and closing scene's. My job is the videographer, so I have to direct the video and make the storyboard. While Aidan and Ray were working on the scrip and graphics I finished up the storyboard. In our PSA there is wide variety of shots from close ups to wide angles, I had to decide what shots we would use when I made the storyboard. After we were done with preproduction it was time to go into production, so we got a pass and a tripod from Mr.B and went to Aidan's locker to start filming. That was pretty much as far as we got tomorrow I hope to film the rest of the shots and start editing.

Overwatch is a six on six first person shooter, with objective based game play made by Blizzard. With 27 playable characters and more in the future, there are endless possibilities of team compositions. The things that I love about the game, are all the different characters that you can play as and also how each character has different mechanics, for example a character like Soldier 76 is more like a tradition first person shooter character, whereas a character like Lucio is more based around supporting the team. There are four classes of characters, attack, defense, support, and tank. These classes provide different play styles that are based around helping out the team. There are other modes, for example competitive, for people who are better than everyone else and go to prove it here. Or if you wanted to go and warm up you could go to the arcade and play things like 1v1's or low gravity. If you just want to play normal game modes with noting else special then you could just play quick play. Overwatch is also getting really big in the esports scene with the introduction of the Overwatch League in the beginning of 2018. Overwatch was also given many award like IGN Game of the Year and game of the Year at Game Developers Choice Awards.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a game by the people over at Epic Games, it is a third person shooter where 100 players enter the map and as time continues a storm surrounds players forcing them into gun fights with other players. There are three modes in the game single, duo, and squad which is where you can play by yourself, with another person or three other people. There is also a player versus environment game type but that costs money and I haven't played it enough to review it. Te thing that separates Fortnite from other games in its category is it's cartoon like graphics and its availability. My favorite thing about it is when I get into a party with three of my friends and mess around un till we are some of the last people on the map then we have to actually focus and try to win the game. Another thing I mentioned was the availability of the game, because it is free to play and is on every platform unlike similar games like H1Z1 and Player Unknown's Battlegrounds. One of the biggest parts of the gameplay is the building aspects of the game, for example when you start out the game with just your pick axe you go around tearing down trees and houses searching for weapons, you acquire materials that let you build things like bridges and houses for you to use when ever you want or when you need to escape or hide from enemies. Overall I really enjoy Fortnie especially with friends and it being free that makes it just that much better.
