These past couple weeks in class have been pretty fun. We've been doing a project on a PSA, our group chose do do our project on Bulling, because we thought that there needed to be awareness spread about it. The first thing we did was write the script which was Aidan's job but Ray and I gave him input on that. After the script was done I had to make the storyboard, because I am the videographer, and during this time Ray was doing the graphics. After all that was done we could start filming, and over the next couple of days we filmed. Unfortunately some of the footage that we got didn't work, because Ray accidentally forgot his shirt that he wore on the first day so we had to get a lot of our footage form the last day of filming. After all of the filming it was time to get to editing, so i followed the exact storyboard, then showed it to my team and then Ray made some timing adjustments. Once we had what we liked we looked on the rubric and realized that it is too long and had to delete a lot of scenes that didn't make much sense in terms of the PSA. Now I am doing the blog post on the whole process as part of the post production which includes submitting, editing, and posting on YouTube. Summary:

This week in class has been all about our group projects. Mr.B introduced our project to us on Monday, and we have to make a public service announcement on a topic of our choice. He also let us pick our groups, so I'm working with some of my best friends, Aidan and Ray. We decided to do a PSA on bullying, because I know how it feels to be bullied and it's something that we thought people should be more aware of. The first thing we did after deciding what to do the PSA on was write a script, this was Aidan's job with input from Ray and I. Ray's job was to create graphics for our opening and closing scene's. My job is the videographer, so I have to direct the video and make the storyboard. While Aidan and Ray were working on the scrip and graphics I finished up the storyboard. In our PSA there is wide variety of shots from close ups to wide angles, I had to decide what shots we would use when I made the storyboard. After we were done with preproduction it was time to go into production, so we got a pass and a tripod from Mr.B and went to Aidan's locker to start filming. That was pretty much as far as we got tomorrow I hope to film the rest of the shots and start editing.
Summary:
This week after finishing up in Illustrator we started to work in Premiere Pro. This is Adobe's video editing software. The first thing we did was watch a video on how color can tell stories. I thought that this was pretty interesting seeing how some of my favorite movies were in it and I had never thought about it that way. After that we watched an example of what we were about to make, made by Mr. B, next he had us watch a video tutorial on how to create a video with images. The first thing we did was go to a website called Pexels and select images we wanted to use. Next we named them the order that we wanted the shots to be in. Then we had to import the photos through Premiere, after all of the photos were imported we started to put the photos in. Placing the photos was done by dragging and dropping the photos in the order that you want them to be in and then adjusting the amount of time that you wanted the photos to be onscreen. This came into play with another video that Mr.B had us watch which was about increasing intensity through editing, I made some shots super short and some super long. After I was done with the editing the final things I had to do was put the title in and upload it to youtube, first I put in the title by using the text tool and writing BLUE on the first shot. Then it was time to upload and I followed the instruction from one of our note pages and it was as simple as that.
